This trajectory reflects the Organization’s broader vision of building a sustainable sports ecosystem—one that develops female athletes and prepares them to consistently reach podium level.

A Local Launch Marked by a Historic Medal Haul

The new season began with a powerful statement as SWS’ clubs took part in the UAE Open Taekwondo Championship, the first official test of the teams in the domestic calendar. Kalba and Khorfakkan… Competitive Presence and Integrated Performance

Kalba Women’s Sports Club recorded a strong competitive showing during the championship, with Sheikha Ali Abdullah Al Zeyoudi securing a gold medal. Silver medals were won by Haya Tamam Al Shoufi and Aya Wael Abdelhadi Farajallah, while bronze medals were claimed by Alyazia Adnan Al Hammadi, Al Reem Aref Ismail Al Hosani, Meitha Mohammed Younis Habib, Reem Rashid Saeed Al Zuwai, Maryam Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Hoor Ali Abdullah Mohammed Al Zeyoudi, Ruqayya Mohammed Abdullah Al Sharari, Malak Taysir Al Saadi, Dana Khamis Obaid Juma Al Zeyoudi, and Zahraa Youssef Habib Hussein.

Meanwhile, Khorfakkan Women’s Sports Club continued to reinforce its position within the competitive landscape, as Asmaa Mohammed Awad secured a silver medal and Haya Mohammed Saleh added a bronze medal—results that reflected steady technical development and consistent progress within the team.

International Validation of Readiness in Doha

At the regional level, the 5th Qatar Open Taekwondo Championship represented a pivotal milestone for Sharjah Women’s Sports Clubs during the quarter. The competition served as a high-level test of both technical and mental readiness against diverse tactical schools, bringing together clubs from 15 countries, and offering a broader benchmark beyond medal counts alone.

Competing at Lusail Hall in Doha, SWS club’s athletes delivered composed and confident performances on the international tatami, securing a total of 10 medals that reflected balance across categories and an ability to manage external competitive pressure with discipline and maturity.

Gold medals were claimed by Yomna Yasser, Shamma Mohammed, and Talin Willy, while Dana Khamis, Hind Osama, and Yasmin Yasser added silver medals to the tally. A bronze medal was secured by Salha Saad, completing a campaign that confirmed international participation as an established element of the teams’ competitive identity rather than an exception.

A Training Methodology That Makes the Difference

Reflecting on the quarter’s outcomes, Abdullah Hatem, Technical Director of Taekwondo at Sharjah Women’s Sports Clubs, noted that the results signal a new phase of technical maturity. He emphasized that the clear improvement in performance levels and point margins compared to previous seasons is the outcome of cumulative work and advanced preparation programs implemented since the start of the season.

He further stressed that ambitions extend beyond domestic and regional competitions, with a clear strategic focus on preparing athletes capable of competing at the global level and positioning women’s taekwondo in the UAE on a pathway toward a distinguished Olympic presence.

A Steady Path Toward the Future

Between emphatic local dominance and confident regional performances, the final taekwondo quarter of 2025 offers a clear snapshot of the sport’s current standing within Sharjah Women’s Sports Clubs:
a system driven by structured planning, a steadily expanding athlete base, and a technical level that continues to evolve with confidence and purpose.
