Technical Praise Highlights Performance Progression
Melissa Sretenovic, Air Rifle Coach, emphasized that consecutive participation across international, Arab, and local championships provided valuable benchmarks for evaluating athlete development. She noted that the gradual rise in results, medal achievements, and personal-best performances reflects healthy performance maturation and stable preparation.
Meanwhile, Sergey Gennadievich, Air Pistol Coach, highlighted that fourth-quarter results—particularly in pistol events—demonstrated tangible improvement in control, focus, and pressure management, which are critical components of the discipline. He added that varied competitive exposure throughout the period played a key role in enhancing readiness and building sustained competitive confidence, stressing that the ongoing focus remains on precision details to ensure long-term continuity rather than short-term outcomes.
A Steady Path and Sustainable Results
The fourth-quarter results collectively reflect a clear and structured development pathway for shooting at SWSC—one centered on elevating athletes’ technical and mental readiness through cumulative competitive exposure and consistent participation at all levels.
This sustained presence reinforces the club’s role in supporting the UAE National Shooting Team with athletes capable of competing, delivering results, and raising the UAE flag across Arab and international arenas, within an integrated framework led by Sharjah Women’s Sports to advance women’s sports and establish a lasting competitive presence regionally and globally.
