With the conclusion of the league’s home-and-away phase, attention now shifts to the knockout stage in a season defined by tactical stability and clear on-court competition. Sharjah Women’s Sports Club and Khorfakkan Women’s Sports Club led the standings, finishing first and second respectively, and firmly establishing themselves as the league’s most consistent contenders this season.
SWSC: Stability, Control, and a Championship Mindset
Sharjah Women’s Sports Club delivered a composed and well-structured campaign from the opening round, maintaining their position at the top of the standings throughout both legs of the league. Their success was built on strong player chemistry, disciplined execution, and an ability to control game tempo across different match situations.
During the return leg, Sharjah continued their winning momentum with victories over Al Dhaid Women’s Sports Club and Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy, before closing the phase with a decisive performance against KHWSC — a result that firmly secured their place at the top of the table.
This level of consistency was no coincidence. It reflected sustained technical work, defensive discipline, effective offensive decision-making, and intelligent game management during high-pressure moments.
Commenting on the team’s league journey, Ziad Al Nattour, Head Coach of Sharjah Women’s Sports Club, said:
“From the start of the season, our focus has been on building a balanced team capable of maintaining the same performance level throughout all phases. The players have shown a high level of commitment and tactical awareness, which helped us preserve our consistency. The next stage demands even greater focus, and we are ready to approach it with the same team spirit.”
KHWSC: A Consistent Challenger with Growing Maturity
On the other side, Khorfakkan Women’s Sports Club produced a season marked by steady growth and competitive resilience. Holding onto second place with confidence, the team delivered strong results across both legs of the league, reinforcing their credentials as genuine title contenders.
In the return leg, Khorfakkan displayed increased maturity and control, securing important wins against Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy and Al Dhaid, before concluding the phase with a highly competitive encounter against SWSC— a match that underlined the narrow margins separating the league’s top two teams.
KHWSC’s performances were characterized by disciplined execution, quick defensive-to-offensive transitions, and a strong collective identity that kept them firmly in the title race until the final round.
Head Coach Fatima Zaqrouba highlighted the team’s development, stating:
“The team has shown clear progress throughout the season, both in collective performance and in how we manage games. The players demonstrated strong commitment and a genuine desire to improve from one round to the next. Reaching the semi-finals in second place reflects the effort invested, and we are looking forward to presenting a level that matches our ambitions.”
Semi-Finals: A Decisive Phase Ahead
With the completion of the home-and-away rounds, the league now moves into the semi-final stage, to be played over two legs. Sharjah Women’s Sports Club will face Al Dhaid Women’s Sports Club, while Khorfakkan Women’s Sports Club will take on Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy.
The first legs are scheduled for 3 January, followed by the return matches on 10 January. Should the results be level, a deciding third match will be held on 17 January.
As the competition enters this decisive phase, margins become finer and details more influential — setting the stage for a compelling race toward the final.
