SWSC Players Shine at Racquet Science Academy Table Tennis Championship
The Racquet Science Academy Table Tennis Championship, held on February 15 at Clarion School in Dubai, witnessed an outstanding performance from the Sharjah Women’s Sports Club (SWSC) players. Competing against strong contenders, 11 athletes from the SWSC showcased exceptional skill, achieving remarkable results across different age categories.
Golden Success in the Under-11 Category
In the Under-11 category, Farah Islam claimed the gold medal, delivering an impressive performance that highlighted her growing technical abilities. Sheikha Al Marzouqi also shone, securing the silver medal, demonstrating consistent progress and rising talent.
In the Under-15 category, Farah Islam continued her excellent run, adding a silver medal to her achievements. Amal Ibrahim contributed to the club’s success by earning the bronze medal, marking another milestone in her promising sports career.
Coach Aneta Sargsyan: Building Skills and Confidence
Aneta Sargsyan, head coach of the SWSC table tennis team, praised the importance of the championship in developing young talents, stating: "This championship is a fantastic opportunity for young players, allowing them to compete against peers, gain confidence, and evaluate their performance levels. Such tournaments enhance players' experiences and give them strong motivation to keep improving."
She added: "We have noticed significant progress in the players’ performance, especially those who participated in the previous edition of the championship. This year, they achieved better results, reflecting remarkable improvement. Seeing this development provides them with the incentive to continue training and work hard to achieve even greater accomplishments in the future."
