Sharjah Women’s Sports Club (SWSC) delivered a thrilling performance to secure a place in the final of the 2024/2025 Women’s Volleyball League, following a dramatic 3-2 victory over Al Wasl in the second leg of the semifinals, held at the Al Wasl Sports Club arena under the UAE Volleyball Federation’s organization.

This remarkable win came as a result of a well-executed tactical plan and smart match management, with the team displaying high fighting spirit and strong determination to reach the final showdown.

The match began with Sharjah Women’s Sports Club adopting a tactical approach, focusing on absorbing Al Wasl’s early momentum in the first two sets, which ended 25-20, 25-20 in favor of Al Wasl. This calculated approach allowed the team to preserve energy and utilize it effectively in the subsequent sets.

In the third set, SWSC began to implement its precise offensive and defensive strategy, leading to a comeback win with a 30-28 score. The momentum continued in the fourth set, with the team achieving a clear 25-19 victory, relying on solid defensive organization and quick offensive transitions.

The decisive set showcased the players' mental resilience, enabling the team to seal the match with a 15-10 win, and secure their well-deserved spot in the final.

After the match, head coach Karim Ben Ayad expressed his delight with the team's performance, stating:"The match was as tough as we expected. Al Wasl is a strong team and played well in the first two sets. However, we knew we had the ability to come back, and the players showed incredible fighting spirit. He added: "We managed to impose our rhythm in the last three sets, thanks to exceptional defensive organization and tactical adjustments, including changing player positions and modifying our serving and receiving strategies.
