SWS Successfully Concludes "GET SET" Run Amid Enthusiasm and Strong Engagement
Sharjah Women’s Sports (SWS) successfully concluded the "get set" Run, held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Sharjah Women's Sports Olympic Centre. The event brought together 70 women of various ages and nationalities, fostering an inspiring community-driven sports experience. As part of the preparations for the 10th edition of the Sharjah Women’s Run 2025, "get set" run played a crucial role in boosting participants’ confidence and preparing them mentally, physically, and health-wise for the upcoming race on February 15.
A Comprehensive Preparatory Experience Enhancing Readiness and Confidence
The event commenced at 9:00 AM with a series of specialized activities designed to maximize participants' readiness. These included a 2-kilometer warm-up race, educational sessions on proper nutrition, and specialized physical and mental training exercises. Attendees also benefited from free medical check-ups, including blood pressure and glucose level screenings, as well as injury prevention guidance, further raising awareness about the importance of body care during sports activities.
Participants expressed their enthusiasm for the "get set" run, highlighting how the experience helped them gain confidence and prepare for the upcoming challenge. One participant noted, " get set" run was a fantastic experience that provided us with the essential tools to take on the Sharjah Women’s Run with strength, both physically and mentally."
A Community-Centered Sport Atmosphere Promoting Physical Activity
The event reflected the power of sports in uniting women from diverse backgrounds, with participants representing over 20 nationalities. The well-organized structure, from registration and number collection to awareness sessions and guided training, ensured a seamless and enriching experience.
