SWSC Shines at NAS Sports Tournament 2025 Fencing Championship
Sharjah Women’s Sports Club (SWSC) delivered an outstanding performance at the NAS Sports Tournament 2025 Fencing Championship, held on March 2-3 as part of the Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament in Dubai. The women’s épée competition featured 18 top fencers from across the UAE, including representatives from Abu Dhabi Fencing Club, Shabab Al Ahli Club, and Fujairah Martial Arts Club. The championship provided a competitive yet community-driven setting, fostering skill development and experience-sharing among participants.
Strong Performances and Podium Finishes
SWSC athletes showcased remarkable skill and resilience, with Al Anoud Al Saadi securing silver after a series of intense matchups. Sheikha Al Zaabi also delivered an impressive performance, claiming bronze following a strong display in the elimination rounds.
Coach’s Perspective: Competitive Exposure for Growth
Hassan Al-Zouari, Head Coach of SWSC’s Fencing Team, emphasized the importance of participation in this tournament, stating: “The NAS Sports Tournament provides a fantastic opportunity for our fencers to compete against top-level athletes, test their skills, and refine their techniques. The team demonstrated great determination and tactical awareness, and I am extremely proud of their performances. Moving forward, we will continue to enhance their technical and strategic abilities, ensuring they are well-prepared for future competitions."

Al Anoud Al Saadi, who won silver, expressed her appreciation for the competitive environment, stating: “This tournament was an invaluable experience that allowed me to test my skills in a highly competitive setting.
