SWS Concludes the 4th Shooting Enthusiasts Challenge in a Thrilling Competitive Atmosphere
Sharjah Women’s Sports (SWS) successfully concluded the 4th Shooting Enthusiasts Challenge, held on March 8-9, 2025, at the shooting range of Sharjah Women Club. The event witnessed an impressive turnout of 58 participants, highlighting the growing female presence in competitive shooting and reaffirming SWS’ commitment to promoting women’s sports.
New Competition Format Introduced
This year’s edition featured a new team-based format, replacing the previous individual junior and senior categories with a duo competition, where participants teamed up in pairs to compete against other teams.
The challenge spanned two days, with participants shooting 20 practice rounds on day one, followed by 20 official rounds on competition day. The combined scores of both teammates determined the final rankings.
Results & Award Ceremony
The competition saw an intense battle for the podium, with Dalal AlHarmoodi and Hamda AlHarmoodi securing first place with a total of 186 points, earning them the gold medals.
Coming in second place were Donia Weslati and Rawan Alalami, who amassed 172 points, while Amal Ghunoom and Manour Mohammed claimed third place with 169.8 points, showcasing highly competitive performances throughout the event.

Noura Al Hamar, Head of Community Sports at SWS, expressed her pride in the remarkable success of the 4th Shooting Enthusiasts Challenge, highlighting the strong competitive spirit among the participants.
"We are thrilled with the growing interest in the competition this year, reflecting the increasing enthusiasm for sports among women. The shift to a duo format instead of individual competitions was introduced in response to participants’ requests for a new and engaging experience that fosters teamwork. Throughout the championship, we witnessed outstanding performances and intense competition among all teams."
She added: "At SWS, we believe that community sports events go beyond just competition—they serve as platforms to discover talent, develop skills, and build confidence.
