3rd Abu Dhabi Racket Sports Championship: Farah Islam Secures Bronze in the U-12 Category
Farah Islam, a table tennis player from Sharjah Women’s Sports Club (SWSC), clinched the bronze medal in the 3rd Abu Dhabi Racket Sports Championship, competing in the Under-12 category against 21 athletes from various clubs.
The tournament, held in Abu Dhabi, saw strong performances from SWSC players, with Maryam Hamid Al Suwaidi and Sheikha Abdullah Al Marzouqi also representing the club. The trio delivered competitive performances, demonstrating their growing skill and resilience.
Coach Aneta Sargsyan’s Reflections
Aneta Sargsyan, Head Coach of SWSC’s Table Tennis Team, praised the players’ efforts, particularly highlighting Farah Islam’s performance: "Farah showcased exceptional skills and remarkable consistency, earning her a well-deserved third place. Tournaments like these provide valuable opportunities for our young players to compete against top talent and gain critical experience."
She also emphasized the progress of the entire squad: "We saw clear improvements in Farah’s performance, as well as in Maryam Al Suwaidi and Sheikha Al Marzouqi, both of whom displayed great potential. Participating in such high-level events builds confidence and strengthens their skill sets, preparing them for future competitions."
