SWSC Archery Team Captures 17 Medals in UAE League Final Round
Amid high-level competition and an atmosphere of determination, the final round of the UAE Archery League concluded at the Sharjah Police Officers Club with a remarkable showing from Sharjah Women’s Sports Club. The team delivered an outstanding performance, securing 17 medals across various age categories and cementing its presence as a national force in the sport.
In the under-12 recurve category, Alya Al Shara won gold, followed by Elma Sergei with silver and Salama Al Ali with bronze. In the compound under-12 category, Salma Al Suwaidi took gold, Alya Al Shamsi silver, and Mouza Al Shamsi bronze.
The club’s success extended to the under-15 division, with Samia Odineva earning silver and Muna Al Shara bronze in the recurve event, while Masa Al Dorros took bronze in the compound event.
In the under-18 recurve category, Noora Al Mazmi won silver and Sara Al Baloushi bronze, while Sara Al Mazmi captured gold in the compound division.
Experience shined in the women’s recurve category, with Hessa Al Awadhi claiming gold, followed by Sniehal Devkar with silver and Maha Al Hosani with bronze. In the women’s compound division, Amina Al Awadhi continued her winning streak with gold, while Rawda Al Awadhi secured bronze.
Mai Al Amri: A Season Crowned with Discipline and Determination
Mai Al Amri, Deputy Director of SWSC, expressed her pride in the team’s performance, stating: "Winning 17 medals in the final round is a direct reflection of the commitment and discipline shown by our athletes throughout the season. This result is not an isolated achievement, but the culmination of a full season of consistent work and growth."
She emphasized the club’s dedication to providing both technical and mental support for its athletes, ensuring an environment where they can excel locally and prepare confidently for international competitions. She also extended her thanks to the coaching staff, families, and everyone who contributed to these accomplishments.
Elena Labsina: Proud of the Achievement—Now On to the International Season
Elena Labsina, Technical Director of the Archery Team, confirmed the team’s local season ended on a high note with 17 total medals—5 gold, 5 silver, and 7 bronze—reflecting the players’ rising level and commitment.
“As we close the domestic season, we’re moving into the international circuit with confidence and ambition. I’m proud of the team’s spirit and teamwork that led to these results, and I deeply thank our coaching and administrative staff, families, and supporters.”
She also acknowledged the significant role played by The Scientific Center for Research and Sports Performance Development and the Sports Medicine Center at the SWS, both of which contributed greatly to the athletes’ peak physical and technical readiness.
Consistent Empowerment, Promising Future
This achievement reinforces Sharjah Women’s Sports Club’s institutional vision to develop elite female archers, starting from early age groups and nurturing them into high-level competitors capable of representing the UAE with pride on the national and international stages.
