SWS’ Medical Center Strengthens Its Scientific Presence at “Isokinetic” Conference in Madrid
In line with Sharjah Women’s Sports’ ongoing commitment to developing its medical and teams in accordance with the highest global standards, a delegation from the Sports Medicine and Healthcare Center participated in the 32nd edition of the Isokinetic Conference, held from May 3–5, 2025, at the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid, Spain. Themed “New Horizons in Football Medicine,” the event was jointly organized by FIFA and Atlético Madrid, attracting experts from over 80 countries.
Sharjah Women’s Sports was represented by Dr. Saeeda Ayachi, Director of the Sports Medicine and Healthcare Center, alongside nutrition specialists Manal Al Hosani and Amal Al Suwaidi. The conference served as a distinguished knowledge-sharing platform, offering insights into the latest advancements in athletic rehabilitation, injury prevention, physical performance, and return-to-play protocols.
Dr. Saeeda Ayachi described the conference as “a global platform that reflects the rapid evolution of sports medicine toward integrating advanced technologies.” She emphasized the importance of “translating these innovations into the Organization’s clubs to deliver holistic care for athletes, both in injury prevention and rehabilitation.” She further added, “The conference also offered valuable insights into the latest advancements in sports injury treatment, particularly the growing use of artificial intelligence as an effective tool in injury prevention strategies and promoting long-term physical sustainability for athletes.”
Meanwhile, Manal Al Hosani noted that the event provided her with exposure to new and advanced practices in sports nutrition, stating: “What stood out was the conference’s strong focus on the ‘food first’ approach to athlete preparation—prioritizing natural food sources as the foundation for optimal athletic performance, with supplements used only when additional support is needed to enhance performance or prevent injuries. This experience greatly enriched my knowledge and broadened my perspective on designing comprehensive and effective nutrition programs for our athletes.”
Amal Al Suwaidi highlighted the increasing synergy between scientific nutrition and modern technologies, stating: “Attending the Isokinetic Conference in Madrid was an enriching and inspiring experience. It allowed me to explore cutting-edge research in sports nutrition and medicine and engage with global experts. The diversity of topics expanded my understanding, especially regarding the use of artificial intelligence in developing precise nutrition plans. We attended insightful sessions on how digital analytics can personalize dietary programs based on each athlete’s needs—ultimately boosting performance and reducing fatigue.”
