In an atmosphere charged with excitement and curiosity, Sharjah Women’s Sports (SWS) organized the fifth edition of the Enthusiasts Shooting Challenge, held in collaboration with Sharjah Children—an affiliate of Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators. This edition was exclusively dedicated to girls aged 12.

Distinguished by its non-competitive nature, the event focused on awareness and exploration rather than scoring or ranking. Designed as an introductory gateway to the world of shooting, it offered a safe, enjoyable, and motivating experience under the supervision of a specialized team of female coaches.

The event aimed to promote sports participation among girls by introducing them to the fundamentals of shooting—its rules, principles, and the types of equipment used. It also emphasized the sport’s benefits in developing focus and mental discipline. The sessions were led by the shooting coaching team at Sharjah Women’s Sports Club, who provided hands-on guidance, technical demonstrations, and safety education tailored to the participants’ age.

Beyond skill-building, the experience offered valuable insights into how shooting supports key life skills such as mental clarity, self-control, and precise focus—qualities essential long before the shot is taken.

Commenting on the initiative, Noura Al-Hamar, Head of Community Sports at Sharjah Women’s Sports, stated: "We believe that fostering a lifelong relationship with sports begins with a safe, positive, and inspiring first experience. The fifth edition of the Enthusiasts Shooting Challenge provided girls with a unique opportunity to explore this sport in a supportive, pressure-free environment.
