SWS Clubs Shine at Kazakhstan International Taekwondo Championship
Sharjah Women’s Sports Clubs left a strong mark on the international stage with an impressive showing at the Kazakhstan International Taekwondo Championship (G1-ranked by World Taekwondo), which gathered more than 250 athletes from six countries. The achievement reflects the club’s upward momentum and highlights the presence of Emirati women in high-level competitions, turning the event into a platform for talent, growth, and podium success.
Medals That Reflect Ambition
Amna Al Lougani from Kalba Women’s Sports Club claimed the silver medal in the under-68kg women’s division, while Fatima Saad from Sharjah Women’s Sports Club took silver in the over-59kg junior category. Their teammate Maryam Jassim added to the tally with a bronze medal in the under-51kg junior division.

Commenting on the results, Abdullah Hatem, Technical Director of Taekwondo at SWS Clubs, said:"The Kazakhstan International is a highly competitive event that brings together some of the best athletes. Winning medals in such an environment is a significant achievement and a positive indicator of our athletes’ progress and ability to compete against top-tier opponents. These results reflect the players’ commitment to training and the dedication of the coaching teams across all our clubs.
